Ana Aragão

Ana Aragão (Porto, 1984) graduated as an architect from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP, 2009). With a scholarship from FCT, she attended her PhD in the Department of Architecture at the University of Coimbra (2011-2014). Currently, she dedicates herself exclusively to drawing, exploring the themes of urban imaginaries and paper architecture.

Some of her most relevant projects include participation in the Italian Pavilion of the 2021 Venice Biennale and the Portuguese Representation in the 2014 edition. Since 2012, she has been part of collective and individual exhibitions, in Portugal and abroad, among which the following stand out: “Future Frames” (Matosinhos, 2016), “Vertical Reclamation of Individual Spaces (Artistic residency and exhibition in the Fundação do Oriente, Macau, 2018), “Como Decorar um Poema” (Fundação Altice, Porto, 2018), “S.M.L.X.L.” (Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes, Lisbon, 2019), “Galeria X” (Rectory of University of Porto, 2020), “No Plan for Japan” (Museu do Oriente, Lisbon, 2021/22), “Interferências” (MAAT, Lisbon, 2022), “Vanishing Points” (London, 2023), “My Plan for Japan” (Tokyo, 2023), “City, House, Body - Maps and Language”, (Casa da Arquitectura, Porto, 2024). She has works in the collection of Centro Cultural de Belém, Museu do Oriente (Macau and Portugal), SNBA, and is represented in collections all around the world.

Ana Aragão Atelier was established in 2012.

At first, the Atelier was composed by Ana alone. Now comprising collaborators, the Atelier is a team of experts who apply a diverse set of skills into successfully managing Ana’s projects and exhibitions.
